Whew! I can hardly believe it is November. We are getting so close to the end of 2019, and therefore the end of the Desert Blossom Stitch Along! It is crazy to me how fast this year has gone.

In case you’re wondering, this stitch for today is actually included in the October bundle. I know it’s confusing, but basically, I got super behind last month, and since there are 5 weeks in November, I decided to postpone things for a week. So next Saturday the official November stitches will be starting!

For now though, we can enjoy this super simple pattern: the Triple Ridge Stitch!

So, let’s talk about this stitch a little bit. As I said before, it uses the back loop technique. However, it uses it in a unique way, because we’ll do different size stitches (tr, sc, etc) to give the ridges different heights! It’s super simple in that there is no specific stitch multiple—you can make a foundation row with ANY number of chains/fsc.

How to Crochet the Triple Ridge Stitch

All right, let’s get started on this stitch pattern!

NOTES: 

1. Stitch pattern is multiple of ANYTHING!
2. Ch 4 at beginning of rows counts as tr
3. Ch 1 at beginning of rows does NOT count as sc

MATERIALS

You can potentially use ANY yarn and hook for this stitch. However, here’s what I used:

• DK Weight Yarn (I used Mary Maxim Mellowspun)
• H/5mm Hook

Instructions: 

Fsc any number (to start with a chain stitch, you’ll need to add one ch to whatever number you decide on, and do one row of single crochet). 

Row 1: Ch 1, sc across, turn. 

Row 2: Ch 4, tr in ea st across, turn.

Row 3: Ch 1, sc in BL of ea tr across, turn.

Row 4: Ch 1, sc in ea sc across, turn.
