In reply to Peggy L Sidders. Well yes, what I meant in the article is that “crochetier” is the technical term - but “crocheter” is what we usually shorten it too. So it’s really up to preference if you want to follow the technical way or not.

Just wondering…. if we are going to use the French term “Crochet” for “a hook” should we not also use the French term “Crochetier” for “one who uses a hook to weave yarn”? Just asking.

So, it is official now……I am a Crochetier!! I love this as currently my only crafting is crocheting. I suppose I could say crochet artist, but I rarely create my own items since there are soooooooo many artists out there presenting wonderful creations and patterns for me to use! I am so in love with crochet that I will likely not venture into any other crafting again. Thanks for researching Rachel!
