Have you ever tried bobbles before? They’re a lot of fun! The bobbles used in this stitch are small but they still make an impact. The eyelets of the chains right above them make them stand out even more!

Personally, I love how this stitch combines texture with a hint of lace. You could easily incorporate it into a variety of designs!

How to Crochet the Bobble Eyelet Stitch

All right, let’s get started!

Notes

• Stitch pattern is multiple of 3+2
• Ch 3 at beginning of rows counts as dc

Materials

You can potentially use ANY yarn and hook for this stitch. However, here’s what I used:

1. Red Heart super saver yarn (Worsted Weight)
2. H/8 (5mm) crochet hook

Instructions:

Fsc a multiple of 3+2 (to start with a chain stitch, you’ll need a multiple of 3, and then one row of single crochet). 

Row 1: Ch 3, dc across.Turn. 

Row 2: Ch 1, sc in first st. *Bobble in next st, sc in next 2 sts. Rep from * until 1 st left. Sc in last st. Turn. 

Row 3: Ch 1, sc in first st. Ch 2, Sk next st, sc in next st. *Ch 3, sk 2 sts, sc in next st. Rep from * until 2 sts left. Ch 2, sk next st, sc in last st. Turn.

Row 4: Ch 1, sc in first st. Sc in next ch-2 sp, sc in next sc. *2 sc in next ch-3 sp, sc in next sc. Rep from * until 1 ch-2 sp left. Sc in last ch-2 sp, sc in last sc. Turn.

Row 5: Ch 3, dc in ea st across. Turn. 

Rep rows 2-5 for stitch pattern!
