How to Crochet the Classic Shell Stitch

It’s finally May…time for a new month of Stitches! Today I want to share with you a classic stitch that I love.

The Classic Shell Stitch is truly a classic. If you’ve ever seen something crocheted before, you’ve likely seen a variation of this stitch.

Have you heard about my Stitch Along? I am running a series all throughout 2019 where I publish four stitch patterns per month—one per week. If you haven’t joined yet, it’s not too late! The great thing about this is that you can jump in at any time. Be sure to join the Stitch Along community in my Facebook group HERE.

You can also view the master list of stitches that have been released so far by clicking HERE! There are definitely some more cool ones you will want to check out. Last week’s stitch was the Box Stitch.

Last thing before we get started on this stitch: If you want to get ahead on the stitches for May, I created a bundle of 4 Spring stitch patterns on Etsy which can be found here. Included is the Classic Shell Stitch, plus 3 OTHER lace stitch patterns (all of the ones coming in May!) The stitches are written out for easy printing. Find this bundle HERE!
