Farmhouse Dish Towel Free Crochet Pattern
I am all about practical crochet patterns and putting our crochet work to good use in our homes. So today I have a fun free pattern I’m excited to share: the Farmhouse Crochet Kitchen Towel!
Disclosure: this post is sponsored by Munbyn. As with any of my reviews, all opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting the free content on my blog!
The Farmhouse dish towel is made with 100% cotton yarn, which makes it super absorbent – perfect for drying dishes and counters. And what I love about this is that it doesn’t have to get all dirty like crochet dishcloths do!
Package Your Dish Towels with Munbyn Labels
As you will see below, I’ve packaged this crochet towel up with some plastic packaging along with a Munbyn label. I recently tried out the Munbyn airprint label maker and it was AMAZING!
It is a no-ink, wireless label printer that is perfect for packaging up your crochet projects as gifts or to sell.
I was blown away when I tried it! It was so easy to set up because it connects to WiFi (or USB if you don’t have access to WiFi). Plus, it prints incredibly fast (1 label per second) and can make labels of many different sizes.
The specific label maker I got is called the Munbyn RealWriter 401 AirPrint. It’s going to be sitting on my desk all ready for whenever I need to package up a project as a gift or for a sale!
(Can you IMAGINE how easy a craft fair would be with this? I did a craft fair once and it took me hours to cut out all my labels. I wish I had this then).
For the Farmhouse Dish Towel I used their white thermal labels in connection with the wireless label printer. It was perfect for writing the name of the project along with the care instructions! (To see a tutorial for how to make these yourself, scroll down past the pattern).

Materials:
- Big Twist Worsted Cotton Blend (85% Cotton, 15% Polyester, 96 yds / 88 m, 1.94 oz / 55 g) 2 skeins Pewter Stipple (color A), 1 skein each Onyx Stipple (color B), and Navy Stipple (color C). Feel free to substitute other cotton dishcloth yarns.
- G/4mm crochet hook (or adjust based on your tension)
- Yarn needle
Gauge and Tension:
Exact gauge is not critical for this pattern. Keep tension normal—do not work with a loose tension. You can always adjust your hook size if need be. For example, if you crochet loosely and you find the towel is looking holey, go down a hook size.

BORDER:
Work all the way around the towel in even single crochet stitches. In the corners, work a (sc, ch 2, sc) to give it more of a point. Note: on the finishing side of the towel (Row 70) I found it helped to work (2 sc, skip a stitch) and repeat this across. When working in every stitch, mine bowed outward a bit and wasn’t completely flat.
How to Make Your Own Labels
Once your dish towel is done, its time to make some labels! I wanted to give you a quick tutorial on how to make these using the Munbyn Print App. (It’s so simple!)
What you’ll need:
Follow the directions on the photos below and you’ll be off to a great start!
As you can see, you can create some beautiful homemade with love stickers using this printer! These labels in particular make them so pretty with the scalloped edge.
Of course I’ve also done the care instructions labels, and another idea is to try labels with your business name or logo on them.
Conclusion
Dish towels are an amazing practical crochet project. You can use them just like you would a regular towel! This makes them great to sell or give as gifts. If you make one of these, don’t forget to create a label to go along with it. It will add the perfect touch!
