Even though this stitch is lace, it is SUPER easy—I promise! It only uses double crochets and chain stitches.

• Ch 3 at beginning of rows counts as dc

You can potentially use ANY yarn and hook for this stitch. However, here’s what I used:

• Caron Simply Soft Party yarn (Worsted Weight)
• K/6.5mm crochet hook

Instructions:

Fsc a multiple of 6+1 (to start with a chain stitch, you’ll need a multiple of 6+2, and then one row of single crochet).

Row 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc, here and throughout) dc in next fsc. Sk next fsc, (dc, ch 2, dc) in next fsc. *Sk next 2 fsc, (2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc) in next fsc. Sk next 2 fsc, (dc, ch 2, dc) in next fsc. Rep from * until 3 sts left. Sk next fsc, dc in last 2 fsc. Turn.

For me, sometimes designs happen so randomly. I sat down here just now and attempted to write about my inspiration for the Peaches and Cream Stitch.

Haha! The key word is attempted. This stitch came about so randomly—there wasn’t really any inspiration! I just started experimenting with post stitches, and eventually this is what I got.

This stitch is actually the 23rd I’ve released so far this year. I’m doing a Stitch Along, where I share 4 new stitches per month all throughout 2019!

This week’s stitch is a variation of that! While the twisted stitch required you to work behind a stitch, the Swirl stitch will have you work in FRONT. More explanation will come with the tutorial, don’t worry!
