One Skein Wonder August Blog Hop—Over 30 FREE Crochet Patterns!

I am super excited to introduce my very first Blog Hop here on Desert Blossom Crafts! This August blog hop will include over 30 free crochet patterns from different designers. All the patterns will be “One Skein Wonder” themed!

For the August Blog Hop, me and the other Design Create Repeat team members will be sharing FREE PDF patterns from different designers each day throughout August! A new designer will be featured each day. We have split up this event into 4 weeks; each week you will find the free patterns on a different blog.

Week 1: The Patterns will be here on Desert Blossom Crafts! Note: this week of patterns is now over. You can scroll down to see each pattern and click to the blog version; however, the PDFs are no longer free.

Week 2: The Patterns were on the Counting Crafty Sheep blog! This week of patterns is also over. Click below to view the free PDFs of the week.

Week 3: The Patterns were the Joy of Motion blog! Click HERE to view Janne’s post with all the free PDFs.

Week 4: THIS WEEK the patterns are on the Salty Pearl Crochet blog! Click HERE to view the free PDF of the day!

August Blog Hop

How it Works

Starting August 1, come to this post. From the 1st to the 8th I will feature one designer per day. To get all the PDFs for free, you have to come back daily, as they will only be free for 24 hours!

Each day I will update this post with a new photograph, link, and coupon code. The free PDF will either be available on Ravelry, or through the designer’s website. Don’t worry, I will specify each day how you get the pattern!

Share, share, share!

I don’t know about you, but I think it’s pretty awesome that designers are willing to give away free PDFs for us all. All of us would appreciate if you share this event! We want as many people to participate in the August blog hop as possible!!

When sharing, please share the link to THIS post, not just the featured designer’s website. When you share this link, it helps there to be consistency for where to look each day. It also helps everyone involved benefit the greatest. Then the designers AND me, as the host, will get ad money when you visit our website.

If you haven’t already, be sure to sign up for my email list below, so you’ll get an email notification each day to remind you to get the new free PDF! I don’t want you to miss out!

  3. I could not get the free pattern…when I clicked the link they wanted my name, email, etc. I will not do this.

    1. That is just a bonus; you do not HAVE to enter your email. Click over to Ravelry and you’ll be able to get the pattern without putting in your email.

  4. Just to be helpful… the date for the hat should be 8/1, not 7/1. That confused me when I saw it, thinking it was from last month and not valid anymore. But i took the risk and went ahead and tried it and it worked! Made me think the 7/1 date was a little typing error. Love the hat! Thank you for sharing so much, appreciate your generous spirit!

  5. What time each day do upload the new pattern of the day please? I have checked this page a few times today and there is only yesterday’s pattern.

  6. Thank you Rachel, I’ve just realised that it was because of the time difference between our country’s as I’m in the UK, your morning is my afternoon.😀

    1. The last day of week 1 is not until August 8th. So August 9th will be the first day on a new blog.

  7. Hi Rachel! I sent a comment but it isn’t here! I love the August BLOG HOP well all BLOG HOPS! So many Amazing and Beautiful patterns. I tried the beautiful shawl for yesterday from Rebekah Haas and promo code would not work was it because of the time difference? It was 9 pm. Sorry if you get duplicate comments

  8. Hello Rachel,

First off I just want to thank you for this delightful opportunity and all the freebies, but mainly thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to put this blog together and introducing the different designers, I have never done this before but really glad I did.
Secondly, I have tried to get this last pattern but the sight won’t accept the coupon code, it states that it is not valid, could you lend me a helping hand so I may access the free pdf pattern? TIA!

    1. Hi Adelina, you’re welcome! I’m glad you’ve been enjoying it. That’s strange it’s not working. I just tried it again and it worked. Maybe make sure you type it in without a space next to it. Sometimes when copying and pasting, this happens.
