How to Crochet a Gnome

Gnome patterns range in difficulty from easy to advanced (you’ll find both in this list).

Generally, gnome are crocheted in the amigurumi style—by making a variety of parts and pieces, stuffing them, and sewing them together.

Depending on the intricacy, you could have as little to make as a hat, body, nose, arms and legs…

Or you could have lots of other little details to make to add to the “character” of the gnome.

I know it can sound a little overwhelming to crochet a gnome. But just take it one part at a time and make sure to keep all the parts in the same place for when you’re ready to assemble!

Are all these patterns free?

In the list to follow, you will find about 13 free gnome patterns and 7 paid patterns. While there are a lot of great gnome patterns that are free, I also found that there are even more cute and detailed ones available on Etsy.

The truth is, these paid patterns are worth a little money as they are incredibly detailed!
