Tips for Working with Red Heart Unforgettable
Before we get into the list of patterns, I just wanted to share a few tips on working with Unforgettable, because I’ve had an experience with it that truly was unforgettable (but not in a good way!)
- Be careful as you work with this yarn and try not to make mistakes. I have found that it can get tangled when I try to rip out my work. So if you can avoid this by crocheting slower, please do!
- If you do end up with a mistake that needs to be taken out, don’t yank!! Be gentle on the yarn as you undo your project and that should help. (Yes, when I used this yarn I tried to yank it out and it only made it worse. Please avoid this mistake!)
As far as color changes go, you can feel free to experiment! You can either let the color changes play out however they decide to, or you can cut your yarn to get even color changes. It is up to you.

5. Sunset Striped Hat
If you’re looking for a beginner crochet pattern that uses Red Heart Unforgettable, I highly recommend the Sunset Striped Hat. This design uses just one simple stitch: half double crochet. Have you tried the chevron stitch before? If not, this Chevron Super Scarf would be a great way to start! The stitch pattern has only 1 row in the repeat, so once you get it down you can crochet this without even thinking while watching netflix!

Last but definitely not least, check out the Soft Trellis Scarf. I love how there are SO many different scarves you can make from Unforgettable Yarn! The designer used the color way called “Heirloom” which is very fitting. Who knows, maybe this scarf could be your next family heirloom!
