More Tips on Crocheting Wall Hangings
If you’ve gotten to the end of this post, seen all the amazing wall hangings, and are now feeling a bit overwhelmed and intimidated…don’t worry! That’s what this FAQ section is here to help with.
Most wall hangings (rectangular ones in particular) are made by working back and forth in rows of a given stitch pattern. Patterns will vary in terms of what that stitch pattern is, of course, but the concept is generally the same. You can make your own custom crochet wall hanging simply by making a rectangle in any stitch you please!
There are a few things you can do to make sure your wall hanging has the “boho” style. I would suggest using a simple, neutral colored yarn and adding fringe.
If you want to attach your wall hanging to a dowel to keep it sturdy while hanging, it is not too trick to do! You will basically need to crochet OVER the dowel to do this using a simple stitch like single crochet. Check out the video below for more info on this (the concept can be applied to any wall hanging!) I’ve also included a video on attaching mandalas to hoops because this is a similar situation!
